  • Type changed from defect/bug to enhancement/feature request

If I understand correctly, Navit does not use the maximum speed from the maxspeed:backward/forward tags, it just uses the default speed. Example: this section of road: http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/way/58360522 .

Is that what you mean?

This is not implemented at present; Navit does not read maxspeed:backward/forward information from OSM data. I also believe there's not internal support for different speeds in different directions. I'm converting this to feature request.

  • Keywords speed lanes routing added; maxspeed removed
  • Milestone changed from version 0.5.0 to version 0.6.0
  • Priority changed from major to minor

AFAIK the lane related mapping at OSM is just in the beginning, so I schedule it for the next major release.
