    initial v1
 Thanks for the reply.

 Its a bit embarrasing but I noticed its already more less correct in te navit_shipped.xml file and just needs to be more consistent througout navit_shipped.xml and in the log tag section of http://wiki.navit-project.org/index.php/Configuration/Full_list_of_options.

 Problem:

 When I specify the file naming formatting in navit.xml like in the log tag, the '%i' section in the format string does not work as intended. i.e it's supposed to create the next numbered sequence of a file if that filename already exists.

 Affected log tags in navit.xml are:
 ...

 <!-- This one does not work for me -->

 <log enabled="yes" type="textfile_debug" data="debug_%Y%m%d-%i.txt" flush_size="1000" flush_time="30"/>

 ...

 <!-- But the following is ok. -->

 <log enabled="yes" type="gpx" attr_types="position_time_iso8601,position_direction,position_speed,profilename,position_radius" data="track_%Y%m%d-%%i.gpx" flush_size="1000" flush_time="30"/>

 Analysis:

 Notice the "track_%Y%m%d-%%i.gpx" above used '%%i' the make it work, and indeed it does. If you specified just '%i' like in data="debug_%Y%m%d-%i.txt" it does not create a new sequence of numbered file, but creates a file with 'i' (literal) appended in resulting filemane.

 Reproduction:

 So, if I followed the instructions given in http://wiki.navit-project.org/index.php/Configuration/Full_list_of_options, which just gives a "%Y%m%d-%i.gpx" sample string option, it does not work.  Again repeat, the option that *works* is with "%Y%m%d-%%i.gpx", notice the '%%i' difference in the string.

 Then, I propose to update the wiki doc section in http://wiki.navit-project.org/index.php/Configuration/Full_list_of_options that lists the '%i' log tag options table to be consistent with '%%i' notation in the format that *already* ships with navit, (check it out on the subversion repositoy file: navit_shipped.xml).

 Thats all,

 Leonardo
