Description
in the menus, you have items such as "Cursor", "Tracking", "Orientation", "Destination", "Route". They are not intuitive because they do not reflect actions. Instead, they should be renamed to something that clearly states what they do. For example:
- "Show position cursor"
- "Stick to roads and follow traffic rules"
- "Keep orientation to the North"
- "Set the destination"
- "Show the route trace" or "Highlight the route"
And there might be other items I forgot.

Well you suffer from the same usability problem even if you're on a small device. And judging from the screenshots, the narrowest device is the openmoko with 480 pixels. Should be plenty. For demonstration's sake, I just downloaded this screenshot and made a mockup in gimp. I used the exact same font and font size (20 pixels), by overlaying the "Display" text, and I put all those "long" strings I proposed in the mockup. None of them exceed the width of the openmoko screen. Will attach the mockup.

- Component changed from core to gui/gtk
- Owner changed from somebody to kazer
- Status changed from new to assigned
For small devices, internal is probably best suited. But comments are legits for desktop use.

It could be really useful on desktop, but i wonder how useable the UI would be on small devices. Open for discussion.
