Ticket #286 (new enhancement/feature request)
Use OSM maxspeed tag where available

Description
As I understand it the ${tracking.item.route_speed} value is calculated based on the values in the navit.xml file. However the OSM map does have a maxspeed attribute which is used in places. It would be nice to use this value as a preference and drop back to the best guess value if none is specified.

Looks like this is already implemented. Should this bug be closed?

This is implemented if you use the speed_warner OSD item. http://wiki.navit-project.org/index.php/OSD#speed_warner
I'll check the implementation of ${tracking.item.route_speed}

Sorry hit go just as I realised that should of been a feature request not a defect...
