Description
Currently my setup is a netbook running navit in gui:internal mode. When driving, using the cursor pad is a major pain in the arse. This was somewhat minimised by the discovery (undocumented?) that pressing enter brings up the menu screen, and using the up/down/left/right arrows allows reasonable navigation. What would be cool is if there was a key command (or single keystroke) which could be used to zoom in/zoom out the map (at the very least) - that would be extremely useful.
Next step - Give each menu item a number, so just pressing the number on the netbook keyboard will be enough to enter that menu section.
Next, next step - make the keys configurable.

Internal has been mostly thought for touchscreens. Even if i agree that configurable hotkeys would be great, i have to assign it as 'want patch' for now.
