Description
i am using navit on the neo frerunner. but this i think is also true for other embedded devices.
when i use navit in the car or on the bike, and i let the freerunner blank my display. then to see the map-screen again, i need to tap once on the touchscreen to make display un-blank. but this tap makes navit enter the menu screen. now its very difficult (when in car or on bike) to go back to map-view with only 1 hand when you are driving and looking on the road.
so i would suggest that it can be configured in navit.xml:
a) to enter menu with double-click on screen (or maybe other kind of click)
or
b) to make an OSB button for the menu screen, and clicking anywhere else on the map does nothing

Solution b is already in existence: Specify menu_on_map_click="0" for the gui tag Create an osd type="button" with command="gui.menu()"

Problem with that solution is that tapping a position (such as to set an ad-hoc destination) is not possible anymore...

When entering the menu using the OSD button, navit could simply set the screen center position in this case...

Can the menu_on_map_click="0" option be made settable from the navit preferences? OSD button for menu would be nice, as on the FreeRunner? the hardware "menu" button is at side and is hard to press with single hand (and impossible if obscured by holder).
Both solutions above would also solve a similar issue:
Scrolling is often very difficult in on screen devices. Touching the screen and draging the map is often encountered as a click and the menu is entered. This happens in particular when driving for me.
