Description

If lakes are tagged in OSM with multipolygons, and the tag natural=water is just marked in the relation but not direct on the way, the lakes won't be colored blue in Navit.

Hello, ...still this issue (SVN 3708 WinCE and map from 26.01.2011)

Additional issue with landuse=residential and multipolygons see also Ticket #754 http://trac.navit-project.org/ticket/754

FYI Same or similar issue with maps from OSM in mapfactor Navigator 10 free http://forum.openstreetmap.org/viewtopic.php?id=9839&p=4

Replying to wakefred:

Hi wakefred, thanks for reporting your experience. Two questions:
1) Where did you get the map from?
2) Can you point us to the lake/area in question using an OSM permalink?

1) I create my maps myself with the actual maptool. and I've tested the maps from jff-webhosting also: both times the same misstake: multipolygone-lakes won't be visible in Navit, Navit shows just the "normal" lakes.

2) permalink to a lake: http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=46.8824172019958&lon=7.18932867050171&zoom=16 Its the relation 1'537'206.

See attatched screenshots... one Screenshot is a screenshot of mapnik ( http://trac.navit-project.org/attachment/ticket/689/osm_with_lakes.png ), and one screenshot is from the same area in Navit ( http://trac.navit-project.org/attachment/ticket/689/navit_without_lakes.png ).

  • Cc michael@… added
  • Resolution set to duplicate
  • Status changed from new to closed

I've extended #754 (which discussed a similar issue with landuse=residential) to a generic ticket on multipolygon relations (it also affects highway relations) and am closing this one as a duplicate.

Same for 4776 at city of Rostock or Schwerin (both Germany) with maps from http://dl.artpc.ch/navit/maps/

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
