#885 new defect/bug

screen update when position is changed manually

Reported by: me.yahoo.com/a/rxxr3ycll9qe.jtvwtstenkmawsikky-#099aa Owned by: KaZeR
Priority: major Milestone: version 0.5.2
Component: core Version: git master
Severity: normal Keywords: osd, routing
Cc:

Description

When creating a route without having gps signal by manually clicking on
Actions -> World globe -> set as position
route to target is calculated, but fields like navigation arrow, name of actual street, ETA, etc. are not updated. (e.g.

 <osd enabled="yes" type="text" label="${tracking.item.street_name} ${tracking.item.street_name_systematic}" x="60" y="-40"  font_size="500" w="764" h="40" align="0" background_color="#000000c8"/>

)

One needs to trigger screen update manually by e.g. resizing window (desktop-linux with internal gui) or change screen orientation (android version) to update the fields.

It should be updated automatically when new position is set like it is the case when connected to an gps source via e.g. gpsd.

  • Keywords osd routing added
  • Milestone set to version 0.5.1

So the OSD widgets should be refreshed, if your GPS comes back, or already if you start routing? (sorry but thats not clear to me here)

  • Severity set to normal

I'm able to reproduce it, but i don't really see it as a bug. If there is no position update ( from the gps or from the demo vehicle ) the routing informations are not updated.

Is there a use case when not using the Demo vehicle?
