Description
Route information when source and destination are selected manually on the main screen (such as route distance) is updated only after the screen is rotated to 90 degrees or back. Android, gt540, navit svn4838.

No. Source and destination have been selected manually, without gps fix. I also tried to update the osd element with route information by moving the map, turning on/off 3d mode, increasing the zoom, etc., but without result. Its updated only by the rotating device. With gps fix all good.

Ok but if you have no GPS online, what OSD elements needs to be updated? IMHO you won't have a speed or compass available in the same way, as routing directions will stay at the very route start?
Anyway, sounds like unexpected behaviour, that should be fixed in the nex minor release.

Hello,
Did you have gps fix when you set the destination? Most osd elements are redrawn on gps updates (or if you force redraw by rotating the device, or by other way like scrolling the screen manually).
