Description
Hi,
if maxspeed:backward and maxspeed:forward used by osm navit used only the default limit from the config-file.
Source: http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=49.97089&lon=6.73362&zoom=16&layers=M B50 between Niederkail and Binsfeld.

AFAIK the lane related mapping at OSM is just in the beginning, so I schedule it for the next major release.

If I understand correctly, Navit does not use the maximum speed from the maxspeed:backward/forward tags, it just uses the default speed. Example: this section of road: http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/way/58360522 .
Is that what you mean?
This is not implemented at present; Navit does not read maxspeed:backward/forward information from OSM data. I also believe there's not internal support for different speeds in different directions. I'm converting this to feature request.
