Description
the popup menu is confusing, not fast and easy to use for regular (not developers) users.
I have made a video review of it here, please take a look: http://jeff.ecchi.ca/public/navit-usability-popup-menu.ogg
Basically, to sum things up:
- don't make sub-levels
- don't show anything that is not an action. That means the only items that stay in the menu are "Set as destination", "Set as position", "Add bookmark"
- use icons besides the menu items to make them easier to visually locate. For example, reuse the existing destination icon.

no, the desktop version should be simple to use by default, methinks.

hmm, perhaps adding a menu for the left mouse button is usefull, which has the items "Set as destination", "Set as position", "Add bookmark" etc.

- Milestone changed from version 0.2.0 to To be discussed - Give your opinion!
Using menus for two buttons will prevent using this gui on touch devices, like nokia tablets. We could split menu in that way:
- "Set as destination"
- "Set as position"
- "Add bookmark"
- "Advanced>"
all those item stuff

Maybe the 'internal' gui is more suited for your use. What do you think of it?
